Hytte Weekend in Nordseter

it seems like ages ago to me and naturally it was over all too soon, and yet I was so occupied with other things that I only now had the time to upload some of the pictures. When looking at them I feel reminded to a sugar glazed gingerbread world. I remember, even when I walked through this cushioned landscape and the oversized snowwalls on each side of the road it gave me the feeling, that I myself was just a small gingerbread figure. A unique atmosphere laid over the country in peaceful silence with every glitter of snow.
Awww I want to go back!
...yeah and by the way we made at least 150 miles on the cross country skis.
No, I forgot it was at least 200 on one day. At least!
Plus we were there before the Danes!
And how our skis were? Ja I have to say they were PERFECT. *wink-to-all-insiders*
(sorry to bore you with that nonsense but never once believe a norwegian or in any way nordic person, not even for a moment when they tell you something about norwegian understatement! Thats just not true! It's not just not true it simply doesn't exist)

Our Skiday

The whole school either on one or two flat plastic fabrics. After ascending the last hill by foot because the large bus couldn't handle the steep and icy road, most people resembled beginners rather than firm skiers and with about 30 centimeters of new snow this ends up in a really funny picture. But we all had Fun didn't we?

Doesn't it look like summer?

...at least I have the sensation the summer is finally coming back. The strong warm rays of the sun permitted me to enjoy my morning cereals barefoot and short-sleeved on the balkony today. And didn't those pictures above look very appealing to submerge at once too?
But umm... wait, something's funny here.
Oh yeah, it is JANUARY!
And it is NORWAY so I ought to struggle with avalanches in front of my doorstep rather than forming the first subtle freckles. What do you say? World's mixed up and all twirling around.
Anyway I shouldn't complain, in a few weeks - I forsee ;) - it will be all foggy and misty again and I will miss the sun.
bottomline is: what I do miss is the snow, one of the reasons I came here was because I believed I would experience masses and masses of snow.
